Sooke Secret Garden Tour A New Beginning

It’s been four years since the Sooke Philharmonic Society was able to invite everyone to come in person to its SOOKE SECRET GARDEN TOUR, but that is about to change! In 2023, the Society celebrated its 25th anniversary and will continue into its next 25 years with several remarkable concerts -- and a new beginning for the garden tour! The self-guided garden tour returns with a new two-day format on Saturday, June 1 st , 2024 and Sunday, June 2 nd , 2024.

The tour will showcase several local gardens and music by members of the Sooke Philharmonic. For over 20 years, the annual Sooke Secret Garden Tour has been a major fundraiser for the Society and has delighted gardening and music fans as the tour evolved. We kept going during the pandemic by presenting the garden tour in a virtual format on the Society’s website (Click here).

Many people ask how we choose the gardens for our garden tour. Word of mouth, asking local landscapers, advertising and simply driving around looking, are all useful ways of arranging the garden tour from year to year. If you have a garden, or know of someone who has a garden, that could be on the tour, please contact us at bshy@shaw.ca.
